built on the left bank of the glacier, offers an exceptional view of the terminal tongue
of the glacier and the seracs on the Plateau des Pyramides. Easy
access by either the chair lift (15 min.) or by foot (35 min.)
to the chalet also leads to the departure point of a well-known
hiking trail that connects the Bossons glacier and the Taconnaz
glacier by way of the Montagne de la Cote: La Junction. This
was the route that lead J. Balmat and D. Paccard to the summit
of Mont Blanc at the first ascension in 1786.
